John Casey, Director of CORA spoke at a @_FIIreland event at Leinster House yesterday.
He outlined the current regulatory restrictions on the use of timber above 11m in Ireland and in particular how it prevents the use of Mass Timber/CLT.

Last Tuesday, the team at CORA were hoisted up 57 metres to observe the ongoing repairs to the Abbey Church Spire on Parnell Square. Up there, we got to see the 160 year old corroded iron cramps being replaced with new stainless steel ties. We also got to see the amazing views!

Looking forward to working on the renovation of the Natural History Museum with a fantastic Design Team.
It will be the first major refurbishment undertaken on the building since 1856.
